Not many 5 piece bands left on the circuit, but tonight we had Dave on steel, Andy on guitar, Jess on bass, Biff on drums and Tony on lead vocals together forming Ridgeway Country at the H-Bar-C. Mostly popular and true country songs like I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried, There Goes My Heart, Speed of the Sound of Loneliness and Hello Trouble which turned into a medley.

Easy Come Easy Go was the first number Muddy Boots delivered, followed by Anywhere The Wind Blows and then a Tim McGraw song, Just To See You Smile. These numbers brought he dancers on the floor from song one. A bit later we enjoyed some more updated numbers like Messed Up In Memphis, Mr Man In The Moon and a Josh Turner song, Would You Go With Me.

The Mary Rose band made a welcome return to the H-Bar-C and got the party going straight away. Starting the night of with Tipperary On My Mind, then Try A Little Kindness and this followed with Speed Of The Sound Of Loneliness, a set all in he same tempo.

After all the celebrations, who better to ease us gently into the New Year at the H-Bar-C than successful duo Kalibre which are Bobbie Read on vocals, Bob Dixon on steel, joined on this occasion by Sara Curran on keyboards. Remembering the days gone bye, when she was a fixture with Kaibre, Sara joined into the vocals with Bobbie making it extra special, as her harmonies are excellent!
